Aboriginal community worker trying to get back to my singing. I use to sing with the school band over 10 years ago. Have recently just got back into my music after having two children. I am having to get some more vocal coaching as it has been quite a few years since I have performed. I am hoping to to perform at the showcase if I can myself together. If anyone knows of a voacl coach let me know please asap.

Buddy Knox plays and sings “da blues.”
He is renowned for his deadly talent and ability to play authentic blues guitar on his cherry red 335 Gibson.
He also has a genuine feel for Rhythm & Blues, and Soul, with a repertoire of tunes for the most discerning audience.
“go hard or go home”, Buddy says to his incredibly talented Band, and every performance is delivered with a real and faithful passion.
His guarantee is to “smoke ya boots”, with a show of great music and stage presence, and Buddy sure does live up to that promise!
Buddy has been described as Australia’s answer to BB King.

Buddy has devoted his life to music. His big dream, to head up his own Band, also comes with the satisfaction and his vast experience of playing guitar in most parts of Australia, and around the world!
What a great foundation to ensure that Buddy is always able to deliver the show he promises! His rhythm and blues review is winning acclaim with audiences everywhere he performs, including major music festivals.

Tamworth Music Festival 2007, 2008,
Yabun, Sydney 2008,
The Cutting Edge Festival 2008,
The Dreaming Festival 2008,
The Wagga Jazz and Blues 2008, and are excited to be performing at
The Woodford Folk Festival in December, 2009.

In January 2008 Buddy released his debut album, ‘got da blues’
which was recorded live in Newcastle, and was awarded Best New Album at the 2008 Newcastle Blues Awards.

Buddy’s History:
Buddy first started playing guitar for his Father Roger Knox in the Euraba Band. This lead to a twenty five year adventure, as the guitar player and saw Buddy touring and performing around our vast Australian continent. This Band also performed at many Australian Detention Centres, as well as a National Tour for the “Native Council Services of Alberta”, Canada. A highlight of this tour was a performance at the Nashville Cultural Fair. In 1988 Buddy committed to the “Rock without Grog” tour around Alice Springs, the Kimberleys, Arnhem Land, and the top end of Australia with Roger Knox. Buddy also toured with
Brian Young and Troy Cassar Daley and played lead guitar and sang backing vocals for the Warumpi Band for over a decade. He was thrilled to tour with Warumpi to capital cities; Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and the Gold Coast for
“The Big Day Out" celebrations. In 1993, Buddy went to England with “Euraba” and performed on the London’s South Bank for a Cultural Festival.

My name is Margaret Armstrong from Ipswich in Queensland I am aboriginal country music singer, i have been performing in Tamworth for the last thirteen years, busking& performing. I was in the first aboriginal showcase, I won with a song I wrote called (I'm just a black magic woman )and received my first trophy in 1997. I am now an elder in my community of Ipswich queensland where i have lived most of my life. i love entertaining.

Nathan Foley (Singer/Dancer/Songwriter/T.V Presenter) has been captivating audiences since the tender age of 10. Those in the entertainment industry considered him as a child prodigy with a stage presence that belied his years.
At 29 years of age Nathan is a seasoned performer, with his polished and professional performances resulting from years of hard work and dedication.
His amazing talent along with his experience in the entertainment industry has paved the way for a bright and exciting future for the performer.

Nathan has had vast experience for almost 19 years on stage & television.
Nathan performed in the “Coca Cola Schools Spectacular” for seven consecutive years as a soloist and graduated from the “Talent Development Project” in 1997.

Nathan has made regular television appearances including Channel 9’s “Midday Show”, Channel 7’s” The At Home Show”, and “The Fashion Awards”.

In 1999, Nathan signed a contract with the nine network as a singer/dancer/presenter & writer for the children’s show “Hi-5” that is aired in 83 countries and has taken the world by storm.

Nathan has won 3 Logies, 5 Aria awards, and a helpmann award for the best live show being the only group to have won 5 consecutive Aria’s in Australia ever.

Nathan has also been the winner of a
* MO Award for Best Young Entertainer
* A.C.E Award for Best Young Entertainer
* And recently was the Winner of the “Variety Humanitarian Award for Best Young Artist of the year” with Cait Blanchett & Georgie parker as Guests.
* And Nominated for a Logie for the Best Television Presenter.

Nathan has toured the world 9 times to packed crowds and has completed a successful 2 month tour of the U.k selling more tickets than Kylie Minogue, A.C.D.C & The Rolling Stones and performing to a sold out show at the Carling London Apollo.

Personally, Nathan has produced & written his solo album “Discovery “ and two singles “Live Your Life” & “Say You Will” and recently remastered his childhood album that he recorded when he was 10 years old called “Good Times” and also recorded a live album “Nathan Foley “LIVE AT THE STARLIGHT” consisting of Jazz standards that you can purchase on Nathan’s website www.nathanfoley.com . with Nathan’s busy schedule he is not only back in the studio for a second time writing/producing and recording his 4TH solo album (yet to be titled) Being released through MGM and his own business/record company NATRIX RECORDS.

Rhubee Neale
Indigenous Australian singer-songwriter Rhubee Neale Originally from Alice Springs, her people are;Arrernte, Kaytetye, Anmatyerr of Central Australia and Irish.

A resident in Sydney, she describes herself as a passionate lyric writer and vocalist who plays a little guitar. Her band members are Ken Smith (well known on the folk scene) and nephew Nathan Scott, lead guitarist and didg player At times Rhubee has performed with Krista Pav, Niece Monique Dow (15) and her sister Letty Scott.

Rhubee Co'writer includes; her sister Letty Scott, Nathan Scott, Kenneth Smith, Zac Lambert, Betty (Dolly) Minniecon, Kelly Staines, Anna Tirotta, Tim Bishop, Jess Frazer, Caite Baldwin, Georgie (Kookaburra) Humes, Monique Dow, Rowena Lawrie and Tim Higginbotham.

In 2004 Sue Gibson she took on the performers name Rhubee Neale. Rhubee Neale continues in the tradition of story telling through her Music and Art. Rhubee Performs at community events and festivals.
Rhubee Neale also acts one of her roles was Dusty in the short film:

I'm a singer/guitarist and have been involved in music since I taught myself to play guitar at age 10. I play a range of instruments now including guitars, bass, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, piano and didgeeridoo. I love all forms of music (I don't classify rap & hip hop as music... sic) and have built a home digital recording studio under my house and have produced CDs for clients. I'm interested now in teaching myself to play flute and fiddle. I enjoy a good laugh and tell a few jokes and love a dynamic audience.
